John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Commentary; This promise from God, that whoever believes in Jesus The Christ should not perish but have everlasting life is perhaps the most significant promise we could hope to stand upon! Irrespective of health, financial or other of this physical world's realities you may be struggling with right now, understand that once you leave this fallen world to go be with The Father, you have His promises of eternal life outside of the pain and suffering that you may be presently experiencing!

Isaiah 7:14

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

Commentary; Our Father God makes sure that His children, those that believe in Him, will benefit from trusting in Him.

2 Chronicles 30:9

...the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn His face from you if you return to Him.

Commentary; Many who have drifted away from following our Lord feel that He will never accept them back. Feeling that way could not be farther from the truth for our Lord loves His creation and will forgive inequities and welcome those who have strayed away from Him. Stop listening to the enemy and return to the Lord who is the only one who can grant you eternal life!

2 Chronicles 16:9

For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.

Commentary; Our Father God will stand beside those who are fully committed to Him, which requires that you acknowledge that Jesus is His son, and then ask Jesus to come into your life.

Commentary; Our Father God's mercy will be with you always once you commit your life to Him.

Job 5:17

Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects;
Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.

Commentary; Because our Father God loves His children, those who believe in Him, it is a compliment when He corrects inappropriate or incorrect behavior in the life of a believer. If His correction does not result in a change of behavior, expect to receive a more serious correction until there is a change in the inappropriate behavior; similar to how a worldly father might react to his children.

Psalm 84:11

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.

Commentary; When you walk according to the will of our Lord He will bless you in your walk.

titus 2:11-14

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works..

Commentary; EVERYONE has been presented with the truth of the Salvation that trusting in Jesus brings to them. Whether they accept this salvation, by agreeing to live by God's rules and not this world's, is up to them. By trusting and following Jesus, you have eternal life. Rejecting Jesus means that you are rejecting the life that He brings to those who genuinely ask Him to come into their lives.

zechariah 1:3

Therefore tell the people: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Return to me,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the Lord Almighty.

malachi 4:2

But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves. .

But let him who glories glory in this,
That he understands and knows Me,
That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth.
For in these I delight,” says the Lord.

Commentary;  Our Father God wants only that we understand His precepts, believe in His Son Jesus, and follow Him. When we focus on the things of this world, it does not please our Father God!

jeremiah 17:10

“I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind,

1 peter 5:6

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

Commentary;  Our Father God gives grace to the humble, He loves those who humble themselves according to God's will.

--------------------------

James 4:17

Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

Commentary; When a person knows right from wrong, but purposefully ignores right to do wrong, to that person, our Father God considers that to be sinful, worthy of eternal damnation and separation forever from the Father.

Psalm 37:10

For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, But it shall be no more.

Commentary; Ultimately our Father God will eliminate the wicked who exist in this physical world.

Titus 1:15-16

To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being

abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.

Commentary; There are those who pretend to believe in and honor our Lord Jesus and our Father God, but their actions prove that they really don't, something obvious to Lord Jesus and Father God.

Psalm 115:15

May you be blessed by the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

Commentary; Our Father God, who made both heaven and earth, will bless those who genuinely believe in Him.

But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Commentary; Our Father God, so loved us, that, through His mercy, provided us with a way, through His son Jesus, to spend eternity with Him.

Hebrews 2:9

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.

Commentary; Our Father God made man, "a little lower than the angels". Jesus was born fully man, "a little lower than the angels", but yet still fully God. He gave up His life as the perfect sacrifice for our sins.

Hebrews 1:13-14

But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

Commentary; If you are a genuine believer of our Lord Jesus and our Father God? If you are, then expect to have angels, i.e. ministering spirits, sent forth to minister to you!

Hebrews 2:17-18

Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus can help a genuine believer resist the temptations of this physical world because He understands the temptations His children are subjected to because He allowed Himself to also be tempted.

Hebrews 4:14-16

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Commentary; Because our Lord Jesus allowed Himself to be tempted, as we are tempted, He has true empathy and compassion for us in what we're fighting against in this physical world, making His mercy and grace towards us even more special.

Hebrews 7:24-25

But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

Commentary; For those who genuinely believe in our Lord Jesus, who faithfully follow Him, eternal salvation is theirs.

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Commentary; Our Father God expects us to faithfully believe in Jesus, His only begotten Son, and to faithfully follow Him.

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Commentary; Our Father God expects us to diligently seek after Him and His will for our lives, and that we faithfully believe in Jesus, His only begotten Son, and to faithfully follow Him.

Hebrews 13:5

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

Commentary; Our Father God knows what your needs are. Do not fall into the trap of loving money instead of loving Him.

James 1:2-3

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Commentary; When you are in the midst of trial you often can't see the benefits of being there. Our Father God wants to see that His children have the perseverance to remain faithful even in the midst of the trials and tribulations that are going to come.

James 1:5-6

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

Commentary; When ask our Father God for anything, you must ask Him confidently, with faith that He hears you and wants you to have what will benefit you, in your walk with Him.

James 2:10

For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.

Commentary; Man cannot achieve salvation through a law. The law can only condemn whereas Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, came to offer Himself as the propitiation for our sins so we can achieve salvation, through Him!

Proverbs 3:11-12

My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,
Nor detest His correction; For whom the Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.

Commentary; Be concerned about whether your walk with the Lord is genuine if you never receive correction from Him. Just like our earthly parents would correct us, to keep us safe and to make sure that we would prosper, because they loved us, so too does our Heavenly Father provide us with His guidance to keep us safe and to prosper us, from a Heavenly perspective, because He loves His children!

Hebrews 12:25-26

See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.”

Commentary; Our Father God will seriously address those who refuse His offer of Salvation through His Son Jesus.

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Commentary; If your faith is genuine, your works will reflect the same.

But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

Commentary; If your faith is genuine, others will be able to see your faith through your works.

____________

All the ends of the world Shall remember and turn to the Lord, And all the families of the nations Shall worship before You. For the kingdom is the Lord’s,

Galatians 3:28-29

All the prosperous of the earth Shall eat and worship;
All those who go down to the dust Shall bow before Him, Even he who cannot keep himself alive.

Commentary; All of mankind, rich and poor alike, are invited to partake of gospel-feast. None can escape death. "Every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord over all."

Galatians 5:1

Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

Commentary; A person cannot earn eternal salvation through the following of the Old Testament laws, nor by the doing of good works. The only path to eternal salvation is through genuinely believing in, and following the precepts of Jesus, The Christ.

Psalm 37:11

But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Commentary; Our Lord admonishes all genuine believers to abstain from being overly aggressive if they are to realize the abundance He can provide.

Galatians 5:3-6

And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law. You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.

Commentary; Without faith it is impossible to achieve eternal salvation. Those who instead focus solely on the doing of good works, and/or trying to follow the laws of the Old Testament, will sadly be left behind.

Psalm 40:6

Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears You have opened. Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require.

Commentary; Only Jesus, The Christ, could fulfill the requirements for the one perfect atonement for all of mankind's sins.

Commentary; The only way for a person to truly become pure and upright is through a genuine belief in our Lord Jesus, The Christ, and also follow His precepts.

Galatians 5:7-10

You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. I have confidence in you, in the Lord, that you will have no other mind; but he who troubles you shall bear his judgment, whoever he is.

Commentary; The Lord will deal very harshly with those who attempt to lead those who believe in Him astray.

2 Kings 19:35

And it came to pass on a certain night that the angel of the Lord went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses—all dead.

Commentary; Our Lord will defend those who genuinely believe in Him.

Galatians 5:13-15

For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!

Commentary; Those who genuinely believe in, and then follow the precepts of Jesus, The Christ, are guaranteed a liberty that surpasses all understanding. With this liberty comes the obligation to treat others with love, just as genuine believers receive unconditional love themselves from Jesus.

Psalm 71:19

Also Your righteousness, O God, is very high, You who have done great things; O God, who is like You?

Commentary; There is only one God, and He formed everything, including mankind!

Galatians 5:16-18

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Commentary; Once the Holy Spirit enters a person, they can either accept His leading, or refuse it. Jesus, The Christ, came and fulfilled the law. Genuine belief in Jesus leads to eternal salvation, whereas simply following the Old Testament religious laws do not.

Psalm 111:6

He has declared to His people the power of His works, In giving them the heritage of the nations.

Commentary; Our Father God provides for those who genuinely believe in Him.

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Commentary; These promises from our Father God are quite clear; if any person, including a supposed believer, persist in pursuing the works of the flesh, they will be excluded from achieving eternal salvation, for it shows that the sinning person has not fully repented of their sins and are not genuinely saved.

Proverbs 8:18

With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity.

Commentary; All wisdom and skill comes from the Lord. Through the redemption of Jesus' blood, the riches of His grace abound in all wisdom and prudence.

Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.

Commentary; Joy came in the morning when the disciples found Jesus had risen from the dead! This Psalm, this promise, was written more than 900 years before Jesus walked out of the tomb.

Mark 13:28-30

“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, right at the door. Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

They gather together, They hide, they mark my steps, When they lie in wait for my life. Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God!

Luke 15:7

I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

John 12:44-46

Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.
