John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Commentary; This promise from God, that whoever believes in Jesus The Christ should not perish but have everlasting life is perhaps the most significant promise we could hope to stand upon! Irrespective of health, financial or other of this physical world's realities you may be struggling with right now, understand that once you leave this fallen world to go be with The Father, you have His promises of eternal life outside of the pain and suffering that you may be presently experiencing!

Mark 11:24

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

​

Commentary; In this promise Jesus reminds us that we need to believe in what we ask for in prayer and, if we do, and if it is in accordance with God's will for our lives, we will receive what we pray for. 

Matthew 7:7

​Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

​

Commentary; In this verse, during His sermon on the mount, Jesus reminds us to persevere in our prayers, that we need to never stop praying for those things God wants us to have. 

Deuteronomy 31:8

The Lord is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.

​​Commentary; Our Father God clears the path for us. As a believer we need not fear what is ahead of us as long as we continue to walk in accordance with His will. 

2chronicles 7:14

If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

​​Commentary; As is a common theme for God's promises to us, but one that bears repeating, our Father God promises to forgive our sins and provide healing to our lives. Every nation of this physical world could also benefit from following the path necessary to receive this promise! 

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.

​​Commentary; Even when seemingly bad things happen to a believer, God can make even the bad things work for His and the believer's good! Make sure that you are walking according to God's purposes.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

​

​​Commentary; Our Father God wants good things for those believers who are His children.

Jeremiah 29:12

Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.

​

​​Commentary; Our Father God responds to prayers. Learn to begin each day with prayers and see what a difference it makes in your life.

Jeremiah 29:13

And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

​

​​Commentary; You can't just casually or occasionally reach out to our Father God. He wants you to seek Him out with everything you have!

luke 5:17

...And the power of the Lord was present to heal them.

​

​​Commentary; God's healing power for His children is still present for those who earnestly follow Him.

Psalm 34:8

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

​

​​Commentary; God will bless you once you begin trusting in Him.

Deuteronomy 1:11

May the Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand times more numerous than you are, and bless you as He has promised you!!

​

​​Commentary; God will always keep His promises to His children. Even to those who have been "grafted in" as many have been!

Matthew 11:28

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

​

​​Commentary; Jesus is reaching out to everyone who is being crushed by the weight of this world and/or sins that cannot be shaken as He can provide that person with the rest they need.

Isaiah 57: 13

When you cry out, Let your collection of idols deliver you. But the wind will carry them all away, A breath will take them. But he who puts his trust in Me shall possess the land, and shall inherit My holy mountain.

​

Commentary; Our God is very jealous. He will not tolerate those who worship anything or anybody except Him. He promises that for those who believe in Him, that they will inherit His kingdom! 

Psalm 34:7

The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.

 

Commentary; God promises to send one of his angels to be around those who believe in Him, delivering those reaching out to Him.

Psalm 34:6

This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles.

​

Commentary; As a believer you can count on the Lord hearing you when you cry out to Him, saving you from your troubles!

Jeremiah 33:3

‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

​

Commentary; When you, as a believer, are serious about asking God to show you great and mighty things, He will (as He has for me as well as many others)!

Isaiah 40:30-31

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

 

Commentary; As a believer you have God's promise that He will help you through whatever difficulty or challenges you are battling right now. Stand on this promise EVERY DAY!

Psalm 118:1

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.

​

Commentary; Our Father God's mercy is never ending. Remember that God's grace is receiving what we do not deserve and His mercy is NOT receiving what we do deserve!

Psalm 118:18

The Lord has chastened me severely, But He has not given me over to death.

​

Commentary; When we stray from God's plan for us He will discipline us similarly to how a worldly father might discipline a disobedient child! Even though God may have to occasionally correct us, we can never lose our salvation!

Isaiah 40:29

He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.

​

Commentary; When it seems as though you can't muster the strength to persevere, look to God as he will provide you with what you need to see it through!

Psalm 107:19-20

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

​

Commentary; God is the Great Physician. All it takes is for God to send forth His word and for us to believe and receive His healings!

Psalm 50:15

Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.

​

Commentary; God instructs those who believe in Him to call upon Him, so that His name can be glorified through His helping us!

Psalm 118:7

The Lord is for me among those who help me;
Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.

​

Commentary; Every believer can trust that God will stand beside them and His presence will be particularly apparent to those who are not friends nor believers! 

genesis 1:27-28

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Commentary; We were created in God's image and were given dominion over every living thing in this physical world. 

Psalm 118:13

You pushed me violently, that I might fall,
But the Lord helped me..

​

Commentary; As a believer it is likely that you will find yourself discriminated against, perhaps even physically but, as a believer, you have God's promise that He will help you irrespective of how you're being attacked!

Deuteronomy 7:15

And the Lord will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.

​

Commentary; Our Father God protects His children, His children who believe in Him.

Jeremiah 7:23

...‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.’

​

Commentary; Our Father God wants us to follow His instructions because He only wants what is good for us.

2 Chronicles 15:2

...The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

​

Commentary; There is no question; if you believe in our Father God, and follow His precepts, Our Father God will stand by you! If you don't, then He won't.

Jeremiah 30:23

Behold, the whirlwind of the Lord goes forth with fury, A continuing whirlwind; It will fall violently on the head of the wicked.

​

Commentary; Even though it often seems as though wicked people get away with wicked things in this world you can know, without a doubt, that our Father God will address their wickedness.

Ezra 8:22

...“The hand of our God is upon all those for good who seek Him, but His power and His wrath are against all those who forsake Him.”

​

Commentary; Our Father God will stand beside those who follow Him. He strikes out against those who don't believe in Him or oppose Him and/or His followers.

2 Thessalonians 3:10

For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.

Commentary; These instructions are self explanatory for those who are healthy enough to work.

Proverbs 28:25

He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife,
But he who trusts in the Lord will be prospered.

​​

Commentary; Pride comes before the fall. Genuinely trust in our Father God and you will be blessed.

1 Timothy 2:3-4

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

​​

Commentary; Our Father God doesn't wish that anyone should perish, which is why He sent His Son Jesus to be the propitiation for our sins.

1 Timothy 2:5

There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men.

​​

Commentary; As He established at the beginning of time our Father God planned to send His son Jesus so that mankind, by genuinely believing in and following Jesus' precepts, which is the one and only method to achieve eternal salvation.

1 Timothy 6:17

Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.

Commentary; We are instructed to trust only in our Father God, not in things of this world, for our Father knows what our needs are and He will provide that which we need. Placing your trust in money rather than in Jesus, is the same as worshiping a man made idol.

1 Timothy 6:6-7

Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

Commentary; We are not to focus on laying up things of this world, for we are only in this physical world for a blink of the eye. We are to only lay up treasures of Heaven which is where we are to spend eternity.

1 Timothy 4:7-8

But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.

​​

Commentary; Most do not spend enough time learning about how God wants us to live. We need to make a concerted effort to exercise our faithful walk.

2 Timothy 1:10

...but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel...

​​

Commentary; It is only through genuine belief in Jesus The Christ whereby a person can achieve eternal salvation.

Matthew 16:16-18

Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

​

Commentary; What our Lord Jesus Christ builds, will never fail.

Matthew 18:8

“If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire.

​

Commentary; Jesus instructs all believers that they should avoid sin at all costs to avoid eternal damnation.

Matthew 24:10

And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.

​

Commentary; Jesus promises that in the end times, hate will become widespread among those who do not genuinely believe in and follow our Lord Jesus.

Matthew 24:21-22

For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

​

Commentary; Jesus promises that in the end times things are going to get extremely harsh. For those who genuinely believe in Him and faithfully follow His precepts the length of the tribulation will be shortened.

Matthew 24:15-20

“Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.

​

Commentary; Jesus continues to show us how uncomfortable the tribulation will be for those left behind because they did not originally believe in Him as Lord and Master.

Matthew 24:23-25

“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand.

​

Commentary; Jesus warns in advance to not be fooled by the false prophets who will come.

Matthew 24:32-33

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!

​

Commentary; Jesus tells us to recognize the signs of His 2nd coming; BE READY for His return!

Matthew 25:29-30

‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

​

Commentary; Jesus promises us that if we do not utilize the tools the Holy Spirit has endowed us with, they will be removed from us.

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

​

Commentary; Jesus will never change.

Psalm 46:1-3

God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling.

​

Commentary; We need to look to our Father God in the midst of every situation; in particular the difficult ones!

Psalm 121:7

The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.

​

Commentary; When you genuinely trust and faithfully look to our Father God, He will faithfully look after you.

Psalm 46:11

The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our refuge.

​

Commentary; Through every trial and tribulation our Father God is with those who faithfully follow Him.

Psalm 56:10-11

In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?

​

Commentary; If God be for those who genuinely believe in Him, who can be against them (us)?

Psalm 121:1-2

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

​

Commentary; Our Father God helps everyone who genuinely believes in Him.

Psalm 145:14

The Lord upholds all who fall,
And raises up all who are bowed down.

​

Commentary; Our Father God loves and helps those who genuinely believe in Him.

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

​

Commentary; Our Father God will never leave nor forsake those who genuinely believe in Him.

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.

​

Commentary; Perfect peace awaits those who genuinely trust in, believe in and follow Our Father God.

Ezekiel 18:20

The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

​

Commentary; An unrepentant sinner shall not find salvation, but will instead spend eternity separated from our Father God.

Hebrews 13:2

Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.

​

Commentary; Angels are real, be sure to be  gracious to everyone because you never know who you might be in the presence of.

Hebrews 13:4

Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

​

Commentary; God calls husbands to be faithful to their wives and wives to be faithful to their husbands-period.

James 1:13-15

Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

Commentary; Unconfessed sin leads to eternal separation from God, eternal life in hell.

James 2:13

For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

​

Commentary; If a person shows no mercy towards others, that person can expect that they will be shown no mercy by our Father God.

2 Corinthians 12:9

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

​

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus promises that He will be with us through all problems, sicknesses and illnesses that this physical world may throw at us, but only if we genuinely believe in Him.

Psalm 40:16

Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let such as love Your salvation say continually,
“The Lord be magnified!”

​

Commentary; Genuine believers can't help but to praise continually our Lord Jesus, irrespective of the situation.

Psalm 136:1

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.

​

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus is merciful to those who genuinely believe in Him, and follow His precepts.

John 10:29

My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

​

Commentary; A genuine believer, once he or she believes and begins following the precepts of our Lord Jesus, will be protected by the creator of all things.

Psalm 111:2

The works of the Lord are great, Studied by all who have pleasure in them.

​

Commentary; Genuine believers love studying the words of our Lord.

Romans 12:21

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

​

Commentary; Our Lord instructs all genuine believers to forgive those who mistreat them.

Proverbs 3:35

The wise shall inherit glory, But shame shall be the legacy of fools.

​

Commentary; Our Lord provides wisdom to those who genuinely believe in Him.

Romans 12:14-16

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

​

Commentary; Our Lord instructs those who genuinely believe in Him to be compassionate with those who may be going through difficult times. He also instructs genuine believers to remain humble, because, as He teaches the genuine believer in Proverbs 16:18, pride comes before the fall.

Proverbs 10:9

He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known.

​

Commentary; Those genuinely believe in our Lord Jesus will always walk secure in the knowledge of their eternal salvation.

Romans 12:17

Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.

​

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus instructs those, who genuinely believe in Him, to not retaliate against those who wrong them.

Psalm 34:9

Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him.

​

Commentary; Our Lord provides for those who genuinely worship Him.

Romans 12:19-20

Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink;
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”

Commentary; Genuine believers are not to be judgemental. Our Lord instructs all genuine believers to turn the other cheek when faced with adversity.

Psalm 56:5

All day they twist my words; All their thoughts are against me for evil.

​

Commentary; The evil one, and the evil one's followers, lie - cheat and steal. Their target is our Lord Jesus, His precepts and those who genuinely follow our Lord Jesus. Do not allow yourself to be deceived.

1 Corinthians 3:18-20

Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness”; and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.”

Commentary; Many non-believers in our Lord Jesus consider themselves to be "wise" when, in reality, they are quite foolish.

Psalm 111:5

He has given food to those who fear Him; He will ever be mindful of His covenant.

​

Commentary; Our Lord will forever provide to the needs of those who genuinely believe in Him, and who faithfully follow His precepts.

1 Corinthians 3:23

And you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.

​

Commentary; All genuine believers are of our Lord Jesus, The Christ, and Jesus is of our Father God.

Psalm 112:9

He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor;
His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted with honor.

​

Commentary; Our Lord blesses those who genuinely believe in Him. The happiness of the genuine believer is the envy of the wicked.

1 Corinthians 16:13-14

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.

​

Commentary; Love is of God; it exists, it has always existed, and will always exist in God Himself.

Isaiah 43:25

“I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.

​

Commentary; For those who genuinely believe in, and follow the precepts of our Lord Jesus, The Christ, have all of their sins blotted out, forever.

2 Corinthians 2:14

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

​

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus triumphantly leads all genuine believers to eternal salvation.

Isaiah 45:3

I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.

​

Commentary; He is the God of all genuine believers; the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

2 Corinthians 3:18

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

​

Commentary; All genuine believers of our Lord Jesus, The Christ, receive guidance and encouragement, and are transformed by the Holy Spirit, Who indwells in each.

Isaiah 43:7

Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.”

​

Commentary; We were created by our Father God to worship and glorify Him.

Galatians 2:20-21

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”

Commentary; Salvation and eternal life can only be achieved through a genuine belief in Jesus, The Christ, and to faithfully follow His precepts, not by doing good deeds and/or following old religious rules and laws. 

Isaiah 43:21

This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise.

​

Commentary; Our Father God created us for His pleasure, so we could genuinely worship and honor Him. 

Galatians 3:13-14

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

​

Commentary; In the sight of our Father God, our Lord Jesus, The Christ, became the propitiation for all of humanity's sins. 

Isaiah 49:7

Thus says the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel and its Holy One, To the despised One, To the One abhorred by the nation, To the Servant of rulers, “Kings will see and arise, Princes will also bow down, Because of the Lord who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel who has chosen You.”

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus, The Christ, was despised by many, but loved by our Father God, and who ultimately will have every human being acknowledge that He is Lord over all. 

Psalm 22:24

For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from Him; But when He cried to Him, He heard.

​

Commentary; Genuine believers in our Lord Jesus should be comforted by the fact that our Father God will not ignore their afflictions, nor withhold His grace from them, just as He didn't from Jesus in the midst of Jesus's crucifixion. 

Galatians 3:26

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

​

Commentary; All genuine believers in our Lord Jesus , The Christ, are sons and daughters of our Father God. 

Psalm 22:26

The poor shall eat and be satisfied; Those who seek Him will praise the Lord. Let your heart live forever!

​

Commentary; The genuine believer in our Lord Jesus , The Christ, will spend eternity with our Father God, His Son Jesus, as well as with other genuine believers.

2 Peter 3:8-9

But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Commentary; Only our Father God knows the day that our Lord Jesus, The Christ, will return to judge the physical earth, but Jesus will indeed return, but not until all the world has been given the opportunity to receive Jesus' free offer of eternal salvation.

Psalm 94:14

For the Lord will not cast off His people, Nor will He forsake His inheritance.

​

Commentary; Our Father God will always love those who love Him, and love His Son Jesus, and follow Jesus' precepts.

2 Peter 3:10

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

​

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus will return, without warning. On that day those who have rejected His free offer of salvation will be committed to hell for all of eternity.

Psalm 94:18-19

If I say, “My foot slips,” Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up. In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus protects those who genuinely love Him, and who follow His precepts.

2 Peter 3:11-13

Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Commentary; Those who genuinely love, believe in, and follow the precepts of our Lord Jesus, will spend eternity in the new heavens and the new earth with The Father, Jesus, The Son and The Holy Spirit.  protects those who genuinely love Him, and who follow His precepts. Those who don't, won't.

Psalm 94:23

He has brought on them their own iniquity,
And shall cut them off in their own wickedness;
The Lord our God shall cut them off.

Commentary; Those, who reject our Father God's opportunity for eternal salvation through His Son Jesus, will spend eternity in hell, suffering at the hands of their own iniquities and wickedness.

2 Peter 3:17-18

You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Commentary; Everyone has received ample warning; those, who reject our Father God's opportunity for eternal salvation through His Son Jesus, will spend eternity in hell, separated forever from our Father God, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 96:4-6

For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised;
He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the Lord made the heavens. Honor and majesty are before Him;
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

Commentary; Our Father God, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, made everything. He is the one and only true God. Those who worship the gods of men will spend eternity in hell, separated forever from our Father God, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

1 John 1:5-7

This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Commentary; Genuine believers in our Lord Jesus, The Christ, and who follow His precepts, will be cleansed from all sins! They walk in His light.

Psalm 96:10

Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns; The world also is firmly established, It shall not be moved; He shall judge the peoples righteously.”

Commentary; Genuine believers in our Lord Jesus, The Christ, and who follow His precepts, are commanded to proclaim His righteousness to entire world.

1 John 2:3-6

Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

Commentary; Those who conduct their lives according to the commandments of our Lord Jesus, The Christ, and who follow His precepts, are considered to be genuine believers.

Psalm 96:13

13     …. For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, And the peoples with His truth.

Commentary; When our Lord Jesus, The Christ, returns, He will judge the entire world, righteously.

1 John 2:15-17

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

Commentary; Those who genuinely love our Lord Jesus, The Christ, and who follow His precepts, will achieve eternal salvation, they will not fall victim to  the vices of this world.

Psalm 97:10

You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

Commentary; Those who genuinely love our Lord Jesus, The Christ, and who follow His precepts, will be delivered from the hands of the wicked.

1 John 2:18

Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus, The Christ, will return to judge the world. All will know when the time for His return draws closer when we see more of those who deny the authenticity of Jesus' kingdom.

Psalm 97:6

The heavens declare His righteousness, And all the peoples see His glory.

Commentary; Our Father God made the heavens and the earth. The heavens declare His glory, all you have to do is to look up to see it!

1 John 2:22-23

Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

Commentary; Those who genuinely believe in our Lord Jesus, The Christ, and follow His precepts, will be blessed, and will spend eternity with Our Father God, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 97:1-2

The Lord reigns; Let the earth rejoice; Let the multitude of isles be glad! Clouds and darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus, The Christ, who  is holy and righteous, will judge the world with righteousness once He returns.

1 John 2:29

If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

Psalm 97:3

A fire goes before Him, And burns up His enemies round about.

And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Commentary; Those who genuinely proclaim that Jesus is The Christ, and that Jesus is their Lord, have been purified from their sins.

Psalm 98:2

The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations.

Commentary; There is only one path to achieve eternal salvation and that path is achieved by those who genuinely proclaim that Jesus is The Christ, and that Jesus is their Lord and Master.

1 John 3:4-6

Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

Commentary; Father God sent His only begotten son Jesus, to be the propitiation for mankind's sins. Whoever genuinely believes that Jesus is The Christ, and proclaims that Jesus is their Lord and Master, shall spend eternity with our Father God, Jesus, The Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 97:11

Light is sown for the righteous, And gladness for the upright in heart.

Commentary; In John 8:12; Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

Colossians 2:4-5

Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words. For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

Commentary; Those who genuinely believe that Jesus, The Christ, is the Messiah, as well as being  their Lord and Master, need to protect their faith in Jesus from those  who seek to lead them away from Jesus.

Psalm 98:9

Colossians 2:6-7

Colossians 2:8

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

Commentary; All genuinely believers in our Lord Jesus, The Christ, are to carefully guard their belief in Jesus because the physical world is full of those who will try and destroy the genuine believer's faith.

Psalm 100:3-4

Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

Commentary; Our Father God created all things and all people. All people are to express thanks to Him, and bless His name.

Colossians 2:11-12

In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.

Commentary; All genuine believers in Jesus, The Christ, were cleansed of their sins through the baptism of their souls through the crucifixion of Jesus on the cross.

Luke 1:80

So the child grew and became strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his manifestation to Israel.

Commentary; We all should learn to spend more private and quiet time with The Lord as did John, The Baptist.

Deuteronomy 4:15-18

“Take careful heed to yourselves, for you saw no form when the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the midst of the fire, lest you act corruptly and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of any figure: the likeness of male or female, the likeness of any animal that is on the earth or the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the air, the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground or the likeness of any fish that is in the water beneath the earth.

Commentary; The Lord instructs everyone that they shall not worship any graven images, any man made thing. The Lord promises that those who do, will be punished.

Acts 1:3

to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

Commentary; The Lord promised that He would rise from the grave, which He did, and He was seen by many.

Deuteronomy 4:19

And take heed, lest you lift your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, the moon, and the stars, all the host of heaven, you feel driven to worship them and serve them, which the Lord your God has given to all the peoples under the whole heaven as a heritage.

Commentary; Those who worship things created by The Lord, instead of worshiping the Lord Himself, will not be blessed.

Acts 1:4

And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

Commentary; The Lord promised to send the Holy Spirit to believers, He did, and He still does.

Deuteronomy 4:20

But the Lord has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be His people, an inheritance, as you are this day.

Commentary; The Lord promised to protect His people. He did, and He still does.

Acts 2:1-4

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Commentary; When the Lord promises to do something, it's wise to wait on Him as He always does what He promises to do.

Commentary; The Lord promised to pour out His Spirit on all flesh. He did, and He continues to do so.

Acts 2:23-28

Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it. For David says concerning Him: ‘I foresaw the Lord always before my face, For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken. Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope. For You will not leave my soul in Hades, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.

Commentary; Those who do not follow God's instructions will be punished.

Acts 1:24-25

And they prayed and said, “You, O Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which of these two You have chosen to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.”

Commentary; Our Lord knows everything that is in everyone's hearts. He knows all and sees all!

Leviticus 17:15-16

“And every person who eats what died naturally or what was torn by beasts, whether he is a native of your own country or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. Then he shall be clean. But if he does not wash them or bathe his body, then he shall bear his guilt.”

Commentary; God's rules benefit us, if we follow them. If we don't follow His rules, then we will suffer.

Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,

Commentary; The Lord reminds everyone to tell their children and grandchildren of the promises and miracles He has done.

Acts 2:5-6

And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language.

Commentary; The Lord can cause anything to happen that He wants to have happen as He created everything.

Deuteronomy 4:21-22

Furthermore the Lord was angry with me for your sakes, and swore that I would not cross over the Jordan, and that I would not enter the good land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance. But I must die in this land, I must not cross over the Jordan; but you shall cross over and possess that good land.

Commentary; The Lord will not tolerate disobedience from those He has placed into positions of authority.

Luke 6:31

And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.

Commentary; We are to treat everyone as we expect to be treated.

Commentary; Our Lord will punish those who refuse to worship only Him, and Him alone.

Luke 6:27-28

“But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.

Commentary; Our Lord commands that we are to not curse or hate our enemies. We instead are to pray for them.

Let them praise the name of the Lord, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven.

John 11:5-7

Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. So, when He heard that he was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was. Then after this He said to the disciples, “Let us go to Judea again.”

Commentary; The Lord's timing is perfect.

John 11:9-10

Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”

Commentary; The Lord is the Light of the world.

Commentary; Man's days are very short, they are numbered.

These things He said, and after that He said to them, “Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.”

Commentary; Everything that the Lord did, and does, was done to glorify the Father, He who sent Him.

Psalm 144:15

Happy are the people who are in such a state;
Happy are the people whose God is the Lord!

Commentary; Once a person fully and genuinely accepts God as their Lord and Master, happiness typically quickly follows thereafter.

John 11:14-15

Then Jesus said to them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him.”

Commentary; Jesus so loves those who genuinely believe in Him, and who genuinely follow His precepts. Many feel had Jesus been with Lazarus when Lazarus became ill, He likely would not have let Lazarus die. Jesus resurrecting Lazarus was extremely impactful to those closest to Jesus.

Proverbs 14:11

The house of the wicked will be overthrown, But the tent of the upright will flourish.

Commentary; The Lord will bless those who genuinely believe in Him, and who genuinely follow His precepts. During the end times the Lord will punish the wicked.

Commentary; The Lord promised to keep a descendant of David on the throne of Israel, but only if the descendants walked according to God's law. Every promise of God is dependent upon the recipient or recipients of those promises walking in accordance with almighty God's law.

Matthew 12:30

He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.

Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O Lord my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You: that Your eyes may be open toward this temple day and night, toward the place where You said You would put Your name, that You may hear the prayer which Your servant makes toward this place.

Commentary; The Lord reminds everyone that the words a person speaks genuinely reflects the true nature of their heart; a kind person will speak kind words, whereas a hateful person will speak hateful words.

“If anyone sins against his neighbor, and is forced to take an oath, and comes and takes an oath before Your altar in this temple, then hear from heaven, and act, and judge Your servants, bringing retribution on the wicked by bringing his way on his own head, and justifying the righteous by giving him according to his righteousness.

For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here.

Commentary; Being disobedient to the Lord, not following His precepts, has negative consequences. Being obedient to the Lord and following His precepts has positive consequences.

Matthew 12:42

The queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed a greater than Solomon is here.

Matthew 12:43-45

“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”

Commentary; The Lord promises that unless Israel always genuinely follow Him, things for them will become increasingly worse. If they do genuinely follow Him, things will become better for them.

2 Chronicles 6:32-33

“Moreover, concerning a foreigner, who is not of Your people Israel, but has come from a far country for the sake of Your great name and Your mighty hand and Your outstretched arm, when they come and pray in this temple; then hear from heaven Your dwelling place, and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to You, that all peoples of the earth may know Your name and fear You, as do Your people Israel, and that they may know that this temple which I have built is called by Your name.

Commentary; The Lord God Almighty, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, is Lord God Almighty for everyone who genuinely believes in Him.

Matthew 12:46-50

While He was still talking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him. Then one said to Him, “Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You.” But He answered and said to the one who told Him, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”

Commentary; Even demons knew the truth about Jesus, and worshiped Him.

Exodus 23:1

“You shall not circulate a false report. Do not put your hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

Commentary; The Lord promises punishment to those who are not truthful.

Mark 5:8

For He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!”

Commentary; The Lord is sovereign over everything, including unclean spirits.

Exodus 23:2

You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after many to pervert justice.

Commentary; The Lord commands His people to shun evil and that their conduct remain above reproach.

Mark 5:9-10

Then He asked him, “What is your name?” And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.” Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country.

Commentary; Even demons are subject to the sovereignty of the Lord, and they know it.

Exodus 23:3

You shall not show partiality to a poor man in his dispute.

Commentary; The Lord demands that everyone is treated equally.

Mark 5:11-13

Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains. So all the demons begged Him, saying, “Send us to the swine, that we may enter them.” And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea.

Commentary; The Lord is Lord and Master over all things.

Exodus 23:4

“If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again.

Commentary; The Lord commands that everyone is to be helped, even if they are not your friend!

Mark 5:15-17

Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid. And those who saw it told them how it happened to him who had been demon-possessed, and about the swine. Then they began to plead with Him to depart from their region.

Commentary; When a person genuine believes that Jesus is The Christ, is the Son of the Most High God, he/she is said to put on Christ, to become one with Jesus, The Christ. Our Father God, the one true God, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, sees Jesus when looking at the genuine believer.
