John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Commentary; This promise from God, that whoever believes in Jesus The Christ should not perish but have everlasting life is perhaps the most significant promise we could hope to stand upon! Irrespective of health, financial or other of this physical world's realities you may be struggling with right now, understand that once you leave this fallen world to go be with The Father, you have His promises of eternal life outside of the pain and suffering that you may be presently experiencing!

2 Corinthians 1:20

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.

Commentary;  The promises of God have been fulfilled and ratified in Christ. He was a living incarnate “Amen” to those promises. In Revelation 3:14 Jesus is referred to as "The Amen".

1 john 4:18-19

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.

Commentary;  Jesus first loved us, while we were yet sinners, which is why we love Him! Perfect love casts out all fear.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Commentary;  Irrespective of what is going in your life our Father God tells us that we need to rejoice in Him and pray all of the time, as this is His will through His son Jesus for you.

psalm 16:11

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Commentary;  Our Father God has shown us that the path of life is through His son Jesus, who is the Christ. Once someone genuinely accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior then they will have fullness of joy and Godly pleasures forevermore.

Ezekiel 3:27

But when I speak to you, I will open your mouth and you shall say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says.’ Whoever will listen let them listen, and whoever will refuse let them refuse; for they are a rebellious people'.

Commentary;  Our Father God knows who genuinely knows and follows His precepts. It is not good if the Holy Father considers you to be "rebellious"!

Matthew 6:31-33

So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.'

Commentary;  First step is to genuinely accept Jesus as your Lord and then our Father God will provide for your needs as He knows what you need and will provide you with what you need (which doesn't necessarily match up with what you may want).

Matthew 11:29-30

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Commentary;  Our Lord Jesus promises that if we accept what He offers us for our lives here in our physical world that our lives in the hereafter with the Father will be secured.

Luke 12:22-24

Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!”

Commentary;  For genuine believers our Father God has promised to take care of all their needs.

Luke 10:20

Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.

Commentary;  Once you've genuinely committed to following our Lord Jesus your name will be written in heaven for eternity, something truly to celebrate!

john 15:9-10

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love."

Commentary;  Our Lord Jesus loves those who genuinely believe in Him just as our Father God loves our Lord Jesus. Remain true to Jesus and our Father God will remain true to you through His son Jesus!

acts 4:12

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.

Commentary;  God has promised salvation to all who believe in His son, Jesus The Christ, as Jesus is the only path to salvation.

acts 13:38-39

“Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.

Commentary;  Only Jesus can forgive your sins. He is our only path to salvation.

Romans 1:16-17

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”.

Commentary;  We can only achieve salvation by genuinely believing in and following our Lord Jesus and not by any of our human effort or acts.

numbers 14:18

‘The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.’

Commentary;  Our Father God, although loving, compassionate and forgiving, will not be kind to those who refuse His offer of salvation achieved by genuinely believing in His son Jesus.

1 Corinthians 2:9

However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” the things God has prepared for those who love him.

Commentary;  We cannot even imagine the glorious things that our Father God has prepared for those who genuinely believe in Him.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Commentary;  Jesus provides those who genuinely believe in Him with comfort, comfort that then can be provided to others we have contact with who may not yet be genuine believers but whom are in need of receiving comfort themselves.

2 Corinthians 4:13-14

And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you.

Commentary;  Our Father God, who raised Jesus from the dead, has promised that He will also raise those who genuinely believe in Jesus The Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

​

Commentary;  Once you've genuinely acknowledged that Jesus is your Lord and Master, your old sinful past is no longer pertinent; God only sees you through the sinless filter that Jesus provides. You have become new!

2 Corinthians 9:6-8

But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

Commentary;  Our Father God promises that He will support everyone who cheerfully gives back a portion of the blessings He has provided them. God doesn't need your tithes and offerings, He is the creator of all, including all that you have. He merely wants all believers to be obedient to His instructions for our lives, and for us to be successful in our lives!

romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Commentary;  Our Father God is a God of hope. Once you genuinely trust in Him, through His son Jesus, the Holy Spirit will be with you every moment of every day!

lamentations 2:17

The Lord has done what he planned; he has fulfilled his word, which he decreed long ago.

Commentary;  What our Father God promises or decrees He follows through on. He has promised all who genuinely believe in Him salvation through His son Jesus.

proverbs 23:17

Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord.

​

Commentary;  One of the most difficult things to do is to not be tempted by what the world tries to trap you with. Know that our Father God can help you through every tempting situation for He loves those who genuinely believe in Him.

john 1:5

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

​

Commentary;  The shining of The Light, our Lord Jesus, is continuous. The evil one, i.e. the darkness, cannot block it out. Our Father God's mercy ensures that the evil one can never overcome The Light.

proverbs 23:20-21

Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags.

Commentary;  An addiction or obsession over anything will end up costing a person the good that our Father God wishes for us.

mark 13:5-8

Jesus said to them: “Watch out that no one deceives you. Many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many. When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains.

​

Commentary;  Jesus promises that many will come claiming to be Him to deceive us. He gives us the signs we need to recognize that will be occurring in this physical world that will foretell that His return is imminent!

proverbs 23:18

There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

​

Commentary;  Our hope is in Jesus, The Messiah. When you seek and find Him, He will stay with you always, through every trial and tribulation!

genesis 12:1-3

The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land  I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

Commentary;  Our Father God has promised that the everyone on earth, including you and I, will be blessed through the nation of Israel, the nation of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For those who curse Israel, they in turn will be cursed.

Ruth 2:12

"May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”

Commentary;  Our Father God likes it when His children do things for other believers.

1 Samuel 2:6-8

“The Lord brings death and makes alive; he brings down to the grave and raises up. The Lord sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. “For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; on them he has set the world.

​

Commentary;  As The Creator of everything our Father God can do to us whatever He chooses. There are no limits to the blessings He can bestow upon those who believe in Him, and who have acknowledged that Jesus is their Lord and Master. There are also no limits to His unhappiness towards those who reject the plan He put into place for mankind's redemption!

1 Samuel 2:9-10

He will guard the feet of his faithful servants, but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness. It is not by strength that one prevails; those who oppose the Lord will be broken.

​Commentary;  Our Lord God protects those who are faithful to Him, just as He is faithful to those who genuinely believe in Him. Even the strongest nation or person can be brought to their knees by our Lord!

James 4:3

You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.

Commentary; It's important to make sure that your prayers are in accordance with God's wishes for you, and not for your selfish pleasures. 

Proverbs 30:5

Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

Commentary; Our Father God shields those from evil who genuinely believe in and follow Him. 

Leviticus 11:44

For I am the Lord your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy.

​

Commentary; Our Father God makes it very clear what His expectations are for His children. 

Isaiah 28:16

Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily.

​

Commentary; Nearly 700 years before the birth of our Lord Jesus our Father God revealed to the prophet Isaiah His plan for our salvation. 

Deuteronomy 15:10

You shall surely give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand.

Commentary; Our Father God calls on us to help take care of those who are in need. When we do, He will bless us as He promises. 

Deuteronomy 32:34-35

“The Lord says, ‘Am I not storing up these things,
sealing them away in my treasury? I will take revenge; I will pay them back. In due time their feet will slip. Their day of disaster will arrive, and their destiny will overtake them.’

​

Commentary; Our Father God knows all transgressions, and, should the transgressor refuse to repent, eternal separation from God awaits them. 

1 Peter 5:8-10

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

​

Commentary; Understand that we will face trials and tribulations in this physical world. But, if we persevere, hold strong in the faith, that we will be delivered from the evil of this world by our Lord Jesus. 

2 Peter 1:19-21

And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

​

Commentary; All scripture is God inspired and God breathed, which is why it has been proven to be so accurate and prophetic. 

2 Peter 3:7

But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

​

Commentary; Once our Father God sends back Jesus, His Son, to this physical world, the judgement will begin.  Don't be one who is left behind.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

Commentary; We are not to associate with those who do not genuinely believe nor follow the precepts of our Lord Jesus, The Christ.

2 Peter 2:1-3

But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

Commentary; Beware of those who blaspheme the word of our Lord Jesus, The Christ. For there will be many who do so in the latter days.

1 John 2:1-2

My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

Commentary; When our Father God looks at those who genuinely believe in Him, and who follow His precepts, instead of seeing our imperfect lives, He sees our Lord Jesus, the only Perfect One.

1 John 2:9-11

He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

Commentary; Our Father God expects us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.

1 John 4:15

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

​

Commentary; You can tell who genuinely believes and follows the precepts of our Father God by how they confess that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.

1 John 3:7

Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.

Commentary; Genuine believers are to practice genuine righteousness, just as our Father God is genuinely righteous.

1 John 5:21

Little children, keep yourselves from idols.

​

Commentary; We are commanded to avoid idol worship; Do NOT pray to, nor give thanks, nor worship ANY idol (man made, figurines, animals, trees, rocks, pictures, beads, etc.).

3 John 1:11

Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.

Commentary; If you are a genuine believer of our Father God, then your actions will reflect the same.

Jude 1:14-15

Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”

Commentary; False prophets and false teachers will be dealt with very harshly upon Jesus' return.

Revelation 1:3

Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.

Commentary; All genuine believers will be blessed who read and follow the precepts established by the prophecies in the book of Revelation.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus promises that if you let Him come into your life, He will never leave nor forsake you.

Acts 2:21

And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’ (Acts 2:21).

Commentary; It's pretty simple; all a person has to do is to call upon our Lord Jesus.

Revelation 1:8

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus promises that He is the Messiah, and He will be coming again.

Revelation 6:2

And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.

Commentary; When our Lord Jesus returns He will come as the final conqueror, with a crown given to Him by God the Father, confirming Jesus' regal power and authority, His honor and dignity.

Revelation 3:21

To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Commentary; Our Lord promises that those genuine believers who persevere and withstands the temptations of the evil one and this physical world will join Him (Jesus) on His throne.

Revelation 3:19

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.

Commentary; A loving father will always correct the children that he loves...if you never receive admonishment or correction from our Lord Jesus for your actions, you'd better reevaluate your walk with Him.

Revelation 3:3

Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.

Commentary; No one except our Father God knows when Jesus will return. Make sure that you remain true to your faith in Him.

Revelation 2:11

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.”

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus promises that all who persevere and are not overcome by the evils of this physical world, will not suffer when He comes again (not if he comes again but when He comes again).

Matthew 18:9

And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire.

Commentary; Unrepentant sin will result in eternal separation from our Father God and Lord Jesus.

Matthew 24:9

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.

Commentary; One cost for believing in and following Jesus is that the unbelievers will hate and persecute the believers.

Matthew 24:40-44

Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

Commentary; Only our Father God knows the exact time of Jesus' return. It could be sooner than the non-genuine believers figure, which would mean that they would be left behind and subject to a very unpleasant physical world.

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”

Commentary; Receiving Jesus as Lord and Master is the same as receiving Father God as the creator of all things. 

Proverbs 10:22

The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.

Commentary; The blessings of our Lord Jesus can take many forms. 

John 13:34

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

Commentary; The 11th Commandment; Love one another as Jesus continues to love us. 

Proverbs 11:3

The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.

Commentary; The genuinely faithful man's principles anchor him, whereas the unfaithful are destroyed by their unfaithfulness. 

John 14:7

“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus reminds all that if people recognized His holiness, His royalty, they would have thus known our Father God. Knowing and trusting in Jesus is knowing and trusting our Father God. 

Proverbs 11:4

Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, But righteousness delivers from death.

Commentary; The only path to eternal salvation is through our Lord Jesus, The Christ. 

John 1:16-17

And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Commentary; It is only through the grace provided by Jesus, The Christ, that a person can receive  eternal salvation. 

Proverbs 11:8

The righteous person is rescued from trouble, and it falls on the wicked instead.

Commentary; The genuine believer can be delivered from problems by our Lord, whereas those who don't genuinely believe tend to stay on the wrong end of trouble. 

John 1:18

No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus, by the fact of His birth, His life, and His death, proclaims the glory of Father God. 

Proverbs 11:10

When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices; when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.

Commentary; The genuinely righteous will be treated like the prodigal son once they depart from this physical world to spend eternity with our Lord Jesus, and other genuine believers. 

John 14:28

You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.

Commentary; Our Lord God loves those who genuinely believe in, follow and love His only begotten Son, Jesus, The Christ. 

Proverbs 11:18

A wicked person earns deceptive wages, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.

Commentary; Only those who genuinely believe in and follow the precepts of our Lord, Jesus, The Christ, will receive eternal salvation. 

John 15:11

“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

Commentary; The evidence of one who genuinely believes in our Lord, Jesus, The Christ, is the outward evidence of the abundant joy in their lives. 

Proverbs 11:19

Truly the righteous attain life, but whoever pursues evil finds death.

Commentary; Only those who genuinely believe in our Lord, Jesus, The Christ, will achieve eternal salvation. 

John 15:12-13

This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

Commentary; The 11th commandment; love one another as Jesus, Who laid down His life for us, loves us. 

Proverbs 11:21

Though they join forces, the wicked will not go unpunished; But the posterity of the righteous will be delivered.

Commentary; God will never allow the wicked to go unpunished. 

John 15:14

You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.

Commentary; In this statement Jesus makes it very clear that a genuine believer in Him is one who follows Jesus' precepts. 

Proverbs 11:23

The desire of the righteous is only good, But the expectation of the wicked is wrath.

Commentary; A genuine believer in Jesus, The Christ, one who follows Jesus' precepts, is righteous. 

John 15:16

You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

Commentary; Any prayer to Father God must be directed to Him through His only begotten son, Jesus.

Commentary; Our Lord loves a generous giver. 

John 15:20-21

Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me.

Commentary; A genuine believer in our Lord Jesus, The Christ, can expect to face persecution from non-believers. 

Proverbs 11:24

There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty.

Commentary; When a genuine believer gives cheerfully, that believer will be blessed. 

John 16:5-7

“But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

Commentary; Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit, and then did, on Pentecost, so all genuine believers can always have Him with them, 24/7. 

Proverbs 11:28

He who trusts in his riches will fall, But the righteous will flourish like foliage.

Commentary; Trust only in the Lord and you will flourish. 

John 16:8-11

And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

​

Commentary; The Holy Spirit will convict those who don't genuinely believe in Jesus. Satan has already been judged. 

Proverbs 11:27

He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, But trouble will come to him who seeks evil.

Commentary; Because He is righteous and holy our Father God must punish ALL sinners. He will bless those who genuinely seek Him. 

John 16:13

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

Commentary; When the Holy Spirit speaks to a genuine believer, the genuine believer is hearing what Father God wants them to know. 

Proverbs 11:30

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise.

​

Commentary; Jesus instructs all genuine believers to do their part in winning souls. 

John 16:22

Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.

Commentary; A genuine believer in Jesus, The Christ, one who follows Jesus' precepts, will have the joy that surpasses all grief and sorrow that this physical world can throw at them. 

Proverbs 11:29

He who troubles his own house will inherit the wind, And the fool will be servant to the wise of heart.

Commentary; A genuine believer in Jesus, The Christ, one who follows Jesus' precepts, can still receive sharp corrections should they offend on earth. However, the wicked will receive much worse. All should seek to follow Jesus' precepts and follow His example.

Isaiah 5:21

Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight!

Commentary; The Lord commands all to be humble.

1 John 4:1-3

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

Commentary; Those who do not confess that Jesus, The Christ is of God, face eternity in Hell because their refusal to do so means that they are from the evil one.

1 John 4:6

We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

Commentary; Those who genuinely believe in, and follow the precepts of Jesus, The Christ, are able to hear the Holy Spirit. Those who don't, will not be blessed by Father God and will face eternity in Hell separated forever from Father God, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 5:24

Therefore, as the fire devours the stubble, And the flame consumes the chaff, So their root will be as rottenness, And their blossom will ascend like dust;
Because they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Commentary; Those refuse our Father God's free offer of eternal salvation through acknowledging that His only begotten Son, Jesus, is The Christ and is Lord over all, will face eternity in Hell separated forever from Father God, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 5:25

Therefore the anger of the Lord is aroused against His people; He has stretched out His hand against them And stricken them, And the hills trembled. Their carcasses were as refuse in the midst of the streets. For all this His anger is not turned away, But His hand is stretched out still.

Commentary; When a person rejects Father God, and His Son Jesus, Father God can be quite harsh towards them.

1 John 4:7-8

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

Commentary; In John 13:34-35 our Lord Jesus instructs all followers; "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Isaiah 6:1-4

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried to another and said:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
The whole earth is full of His glory!”

And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke.

Commentary; Our Father God engulfs the entire world with His holiness.

1 John 4:9-11

In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Commentary; We are commanded to love one another as our Father God loves each one of us.

Isaiah 9:13

For the people do not turn to Him who strikes them,
Nor do they seek the Lord of hosts.

​

Commentary; Our Father God punishes those who are disobedient; the worse the disobedience, the harsher the punishment one should expect to receive.

1 John 4:20-21

If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.

Commentary; We are to love one another just as Jesus, The Christ, loved each of us so much, that He willingly gave up His life so that we might live.

Isaiah 9:17

Therefore the Lord will have no joy in their young men, Nor have mercy on their fatherless and widows; For everyone is a hypocrite and an evildoer,
And every mouth speaks folly. For all this His anger is not turned away, But His hand is stretched out still.

Commentary; In the midst of His anger towards sinners, our Lord extends His free offer of salvation for those who genuinely believe in Him, and follow His precepts.

1 John 5:1-2

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.

Commentary; Our Lord will bless all those who genuinely believe in Him, and follow His precepts.

Isaiah 10:1-4

“Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, Who write misfortune, Which they have prescribed
To rob the needy of justice, And to take what is right from the poor of My people, That widows may be their prey, And that they may rob the fatherless. What will you do in the day of punishment, And in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory? Without Me they shall bow down among the prisoners, And they shall fall among the slain.”

Commentary; Those who prey upon the defenseless will be dealt with very seriously by our Lord Jesus once He returns.

1 John 5:3-4

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

Commentary; Genuine believers in our Father God will keep His commandments, and will follow His precepts.

Isaiah 11:10

“And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse,
Who shall stand as a banner to the people; For the Gentiles shall seek Him, And His resting place shall be glorious.”

​

Commentary; The coming of our Lord Jesus was promised, prophesied, hundreds of years before His birth, and He will come again, and He will judge the entire world.

1 John 5:6

This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus, The Christ, promised to send the Holy Spirit, which He did. The Holy Spirit is inside of every genuine believer in Lord Jesus, The Christ.

Isaiah 13:3

I have commanded My sanctified ones; I have also called My mighty ones for My anger—Those who rejoice in My exaltation.”

Commentary; Our Father God loves those who love Him. Those who don't love Him face eternal unhappiness.

1 John 5:7

For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.

​

Commentary; The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit are one.

Isaiah 13:4-5

The noise of a multitude in the mountains, Like that of many people! A tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together! The Lord of hosts musters The army for battle. They come from a far country, From the end of heaven—The Lord and His weapons of indignation, To destroy the whole land.

Commentary; Nothing can stand before the Lord.

1 John 5:9-10

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son. He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son.

Commentary; Our Father God considers those who refuse to acknowledge Jesus, The Christ, as His only begotten Son, to be liars.

Isaiah 13:6-8

Wail, for the day of the Lord is at hand!  It will come as destruction from the Almighty. Therefore all hands will be limp, Every man’s heart will melt, And they will be afraid. Pangs and sorrows will take hold of them;
They will be in pain as a woman in childbirth; They will be amazed at one another; Their faces will be like flames.

Commentary; When our Lord Jesus returns, there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth by those who have refused accepting the free gift of salvation available to those to acknowledge that Jesus is Lord over all, and have genuinely made Him Lord over them!

2 John 1:6

This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.

Commentary; In John 13:34-35 our Lord Jesus instructs all followers; "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Isaiah 13:9-10

Behold, the day of the Lord comes, Cruel, with both wrath and fierce anger, To lay the land desolate;
And He will destroy its sinners from it. For the stars of heaven and their constellations Will not give their light; The sun will be darkened in its going forth, And the moon will not cause its light to shine.

Commentary; There will be no question as to what will herald in the second coming of our Lord Jesus.

2 john 1:7-8

For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.

Commentary; Those who do not confess that Jesus is The Christ, and that He came, in flesh, into this physical world, will spend eternity in Hell separated forever from the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 13:11

“I will punish the world for its evil, And the wicked for their iniquity; I will halt the arrogance of the proud,
And will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Commentary; In the final days our Lord will severely punish those who are evil, wicked and arrogant.

2 John 1:10-11

If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.

​

Commentary; Genuine believers are not supposed to socialize with those who deny the truth of Jesus being The Christ, the only begotten Son of our Father God.

Isaiah 13:13

Therefore I will shake the heavens, And the earth will move out of her place, In the wrath of the Lord of hosts And in the day of His fierce anger.

Commentary; It is not wise to provoke our Lord.

Revelation 1:7

Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

​

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus will be coming to earth a second time, and when He does, He will judge the nations.

Isaiah 24:1

Behold, the Lord makes the earth empty and makes it waste, Distorts its surface And scatters abroad its inhabitants.

​

Commentary; Our Lord will disburse those who refuse His free offer of salvation.

Revelation 1:17-18

And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus, The Christ, was dead, but was resurrected, and He lives forevermore. Jesus alone will judge the world once He returns.

Isaiah 24:3

The land shall be entirely emptied and utterly plundered, For the Lord has spoken this word.

​

Commentary; When people worship false deities, when they refuse to accept the free salvation available through Jesus, The Christ, they will be punished.

Joshua 21:43-45

“So the Lord gave Israel all the land he had sworn to give their forefathers, and they took possession of it and settled there. The Lord gave them rest on every side, just as he had sworn to their forefathers. Not one of their enemies withstood them; the Lord handed all their enemies over to them. Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled”.

Commentary; The Lord will bless those nations who honor Him.

Luke 6:32-35

“But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.

Commentary; The Lord can forgive even the worst sinner. So should each one of us forgive those who sin against us.

Judges 8:34-35

Thus the children of Israel did not remember the Lord their God, who had delivered them from the hands of all their enemies on every side; nor did they show kindness to the house of Jerubbaal (Gideon) in accordance with the good he had done for Israel.

Commentary; The Lord expects that His people remember Him through every generation.

Luke 7:6-10

Then Jesus went with them. And when He was already not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to Him, saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof. Therefore I did not even think myself worthy to come to You. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man placed under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turned around and said to the crowd that followed Him, “I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!” And those who were sent, returning to the house, found the servant well who had been sick.

Commentary; The Lord rewards those who show great faith in Him.

1 Samuel 12:22

For the Lord will not forsake His people, for His great name’s sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you His people.

​

Commentary; The Lord will never forsake those who genuinely believe in Him.

Luke 7:13-15

When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother.

Commentary; The Lord will heal those He chooses to heal, but only to glorify the Father.

2 Samuel 7:16

And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.” ’ ”

Commentary; The Lord will bless those who glorify Him.

Luke 7:20-21

When the men had come to Him, they said, “John the Baptist has sent us to You, saying, ‘Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?’ ” And that very hour He cured many of infirmities, afflictions, and evil spirits; and to many blind He gave sight.

Commentary; The Lord will heal whom He chooses to heal so that Father God will be glorified.

2 Samuel 7:22

Therefore You are great, O Lord God. For there is none like You, nor is there any God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

​

Commentary; There is only one God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Luke 7:22-23

Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”

Commentary; Those who believe on Jesus will be blessed.

2 Samuel 7:24

For You have made Your people Israel Your very own people forever; and You, Lord, have become their God.

​

Commentary; The Lord blesses those who bless Israel. The Lord curses those who curse Israel.

Luke 7:28

For I say to you, among those born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”

​

Commentary; Those who believe on the Lord, and follow His precepts, will be blessed.

2 Samuel 7:28

“And now, O Lord God, You are God, and Your words are true, and You have promised this goodness to Your servant. Now therefore, let it please You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue before You forever; for You, O Lord God, have spoken it, and with Your blessing let the house of Your servant be blessed forever.”

Commentary; Those who genuinely believe on the Lord, and follow His precepts forever, will be blessed forever.

Luke 7:33-35

For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’ The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by all her children.”

Commentary; Those whose hearts are cold, and who have veils covering their eyes,  will spend eternity in hell, separated forever from our Father, His Son, and the Holy Spirit.

2 Samuel 10:12

Be of good courage, and let us be strong for our people and for the cities of our God. And may the Lord do what is good in His sight.”

​

Commentary; Those who stand up and follow God's precepts will be blessed.

1 Thessalonians 1:2-4

We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father, knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God.

Commentary; When genuine believers in the Lord openly profess their beliefs, they will be blessed.

1 Kings 8:23

and he said: “Lord God of Israel, there is no God in heaven above or on earth below like You, who keep Your covenant and mercy with Your servants who walk before You with all their hearts.

Commentary; There is only one true God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

1 Thessalonians 1:5

For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.

Commentary; The Holy Spirit enters all who genuinely believe in the Lord.

2 Kings 5:15

And he returned to the man of God, he and all his aides, and came and stood before him; and he said, “Indeed, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, except in Israel; now therefore, please take a gift from your servant.”

Commentary; There is only one true God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

1 Thessalonians 2:1-3

For you yourselves know, brethren, that our coming to you was not in vain. But even after we had suffered before and were spitefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much conflict. For our exhortation did not come from error or uncleanness, nor was it in deceit.

Commentary; Those who answer God's calling to preach His word can expect to be treated harshly by the non-believers, but will still be blessed by the Lord for following His instructions and His precepts.

2 Kings 8:19

Yet the Lord would not destroy Judah, for the sake of His servant David, as He promised him to give a lamp to him and his sons forever.

Commentary; The Lord always keeps the promises He makes.

1 Thessalonians 2:4

But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.

​

Commentary; We are to spend our days pleasing God and not pleasing men.

2 Kings 19:30

And the remnant who have escaped of the house of Judah Shall again take root downward, And bear fruit upward.

​

Commentary; The Lord will bless those who genuinely in Him, and follow His precepts.

1 Thessalonians 2:6-9

Nor did we seek glory from men, either from you or from others, when we might have made demands as apostles of Christ. But we were gentle among you, just as a nursing mother cherishes her own children. So, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us. For you remember, brethren, our labor and toil; for laboring night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.

Commentary; The Lord expects everyone to work. Even His disciples!

1 Chronicles 16:14

He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.

​

Commentary; The Lord our God, the Creator of everything, is the Judge of everything and of everyone.

1 Thessalonians 2:10-12

You are witnesses, and God also, how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we behaved ourselves among you who believe; as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children, that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.

Commentary; The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the One and only God, expects those who follow Him to conduct themselves according to God's precepts, not man's.

1 Chronicles 16:24

Declare His glory among the nations,
His wonders among all peoples.

​

Commentary; Our Lord expects all of those who genuinely believe in Him, and who follow His precepts, to proclaim His glory all of the time.

1 Thessalonians 2:13

For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.

Commentary; The genuine word of God is always true, irrespective of who is delivering it.

1 Chronicles 16:28

Give to the Lord, O families of the peoples, Give to the Lord glory and strength.

​

Commentary; The Lord loves a cheerful giver, irrespective of what is being given.

1 Thessalonians 2:14-16

For you, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus. For you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, just as they did from the Judeans, who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they do not please God and are contrary to all men, forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, so as always to fill up the measure of their sins; but wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.

Commentary; Those who inhibit the spreading of the word of the Lord will face His very severe judgement.

1 Chronicles 16:31

Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; And let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns.”

Commentary; Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Luke 12:6-7

“Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Commentary; God loves everything He created.

Ecclesiastes 3:17

I said in my heart, “God shall judge the righteous and the wicked, For there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.”

​

Commentary; Man is appointed once to die, then the judgement.

Luke 12:8-9

“Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God. But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.

​

Commentary; The Lord loves those who love Him. Those who deny the Lord will face serious punishment during the end times.

Ecclesiastes 5:4-5

When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it; For He has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you have vowed—Better not to vow than to vow and not pay.

​

Commentary; God keep every promise He has ever made, or will every make. He expects those who genuinely believe in Him, and who follow His precepts, to do the same.

Luke 12:12-10

“And anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but to him who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven.

Commentary; Those who blaspheme the Holy Spirit will face eternity separated from God, the Father; God, the Son; and God, the Holy Spirit.

Ecclesiastes 5:6-7

Do not let your mouth cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger of God that it was an error. Why should God be angry at your excuse and destroy the work of your hands? For in the multitude of dreams and many words there is also vanity. But fear God.

Commentary; The tongue can be deadly if not controlled properly.

Luke 12:11-12

“Now when they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.”

​

Commentary; The Holy Spirit indwells in every person who genuinely believes in Jesus, The Christ.

Ecclesiastes 5:18-20

Here is what I have seen: It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor in which he toils under the sun all the days of his life which God gives him; for it is his heritage. As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God. For he will not dwell unduly on the days of his life, because God keeps him busy with the joy of his heart.

Commentary; Everything we have is a gift from the Lord.

Luke 12:16-21

Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” ’ But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

Commentary; Those who genuinely believe in the Lord, and who follow His precepts, will lay up treasures in the kingdom of God.

Ecclesiastes 7:13

Consider the work of God; For who can make straight what He has made crooked?

Commentary; What God has made cannot be undone by man.

Luke 12:25-26

And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?

Commentary; In Philippians 4, versus 6-7, the Lord promises; "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Ecclesiastes 7:16-18

Do not be overly righteous, Nor be overly wise: Why should you destroy yourself? Do not be overly wicked, Nor be foolish: Why should you die before your time? It is good that you grasp this, And also not remove your hand from the other; For he who fears God will escape them all.

Commentary; Every person would be well advised to genuinely believe in Christ Jesus, and to genuinely follow His precepts.

Luke 12:27-28

Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?

Commentary; God will provide for everyone who genuinely believes in Him, and who genuinely follow His precepts.

Ecclesiastes 8:12-13

Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him.  But it will not be well with the wicked; nor will he prolong his days, which are as a shadow, because he does not fear before God.

Commentary; God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus to be the propitiation for our sins, promising salvation to those who genuinely believe in Jesus, and who genuinely follow His precepts.

Luke 12:29-31

“And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

Commentary; Before you ask the Lord for anything, He already knows what your needs are,  now, and what they are going to be in the future. Seek after Him and His blessings will descend upon you.

Ecclesiastes 11:4-6

“He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap. As you do not know what is the way of the wind, or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, so you do not know the works of God who makes everything. In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand; for you do not know which will prosper, either this or that, or whether both alike will be good”

Commentary; God created everything. He promises that those who spend their time considering what God has created, instead of working with what God has created, will not prosper.

Luke 12:32-34

“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Commentary; Our Lord promises that those who establish their treasures in the heavenly realm will spend eternity with God, the Father; God, the Son; and God, the Holy Spirit.

Ecclesiastes 11:9

Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, And let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth; Walk in the ways of your heart, And in the sight of your eyes; But know that for all these God will bring you into judgment.

Commentary; Those who do not genuinely believe in the Lord will face harsh judgement during the final days.
