John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Commentary; This promise from God, that whoever believes in Jesus The Christ should not perish but have everlasting life is perhaps the most significant promise we could hope to stand upon! Irrespective of health, financial or other of this physical world's realities you may be struggling with right now, understand that once you leave this fallen world to go be with The Father, you have His promises of eternal life outside of the pain and suffering that you may be presently experiencing!

Philippians 4:6-7

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Commentary; Don't worry about anything but pray about everything as Our Lord is faithful to answer the prayers of the faithful...those who genuinely believe in Him!

Philippians 4:19

God will meet all our needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

Commentary; Once you've decided to genuinely follow our Father God's precepts, as exhibited by His Son Jesus, The Christ, you will begin to reap the benefits of God's overwhelming blessings!

Philippians 2:10-11

At the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Commentary; There is NO DOUBT; once Jesus returns EVERY knee MUST bow and EVERY tongue MUST confess that HE is Lord and Master over all!

Philippians 1:21

For those who know Him, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Commentary; Once you genuinely accept Jesus as your Lord and Master, your future is assured and secured!

Colossians 1:13-14

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

Commentary; Our Father God cares so much for us that He sent His Son, Jesus, to deliver us from our sins.

Colossians 1:21-22

And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight.

Commentary; By the actions of our Lord Jesus, His going to the cross as the sacrificial lamb to account for our sins, we are presented to our Father God as being sinless and blameless....for as long as we continue to genuinely believe in and follow Jesus' precepts!

Colossians 2:9-10

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.

Commentary; As the "God Head" in our physical world Jesus has all authority over all things.

Colossians 2:13-14

When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross..

Commentary; Our sins, and the resulting condemnation for said sins, have been cleansed by the fact of Jesus going to the cross for us!

Colossians 3:1-4

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Commentary; Our sinful lives are hidden from God by our Lord Jesus. Once Jesus returns then we will appear with Him in Heaven!

Colossians 3:12-14

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Commentary; How can you expect to be forgiven of your sins if you don't forgive others, as Jesus forgave you?

1 Thessalonians 1:10

and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

Commentary; There is a day of reckoning coming for this physical world, and it will not be pretty! A genuine belief in Jesus, and following His precepts, can keep you from the coming wrath!

1 Thessalonians 3:13

May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus will be coming soon, and He will be bringing His holy ones with him!

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus will be coming soon, don't miss your opportunity to spend eternity with our Father God, His son Jesus, the remainder of the saints!

1 Thessalonians 5:9-10

God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.

Commentary; Once we receive salvation through our Lord Jesus, The Christ, whether we are alive or not when He returns, we will spend eternity with Him!

2 Thessalonians 1:8

He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

Commentary; God is faithful and just to those who genuinely believe in Him, and in His son Jesus. To those who don't believe God's eternal punishment is close at hand.

2 Thessalonians 3:3

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

Commentary; When you faithfully following God's precepts He is faithful back to you, and places His hedge of protection around you to keep the evil one and the evil one's followers away from you.

2 Thessalonians 2:8

And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.

Commentary; Once Jesus returns the evil one will be revealed and cast into the lake of fire. Make sure that you've chosen carefully, that you've chosen to follow Jesus.

Matthew 18:19-20

“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Commentary; Jesus promises us that when we gather together and agree on something, it will be done for us by our Father God for Jesus will be with us.

Matthew 18:18

“Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Commentary; Once a person genuinely believes in Jesus then he/she will receive the authority to bind things as well as to loose things both on earth as well as in heaven.

Matthew 18:10

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.

Commentary; Our Father God has a special place in His kingdom for children.

Matthew 18:2-5

He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.

Commentary; Our Father God wants us to have the faith in Him as does a child.

Matthew 18:6

“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

Commentary; Our Father God will not treat those kindly who do not treat children who believe in Him properly.

Matthew 18:7

Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!

Commentary; Our Father God will not treat those kindly who cause others to stumble, relative to worshiping Him.

Acts 17:28

‘For in him we live and move and have our being.

Commentary; When we live according to Jesus' precepts our lives are full and have meaning..

Romans 8:19

For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

Commentary; Due to our genuine belief in Jesus, The Christ, we have been promised a glorious eternal life. We wait eagerly for Jesus to come again!

Romans 12:2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Commentary; God's will for each of us is that we lead a life pleasing to Him, not according to what pleases those non-believers in our world.

Proverbs 28:5

Evildoers do not understand what is right, but those who seek the Lord understand it fully.

Commentary; Once you begin to follow God's precepts you will better understand what is correct conduct and what isn't.

Proverbs 28:13

Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

Commentary; Our Father God already knows what you've done. He wants you own up to the errors that you've made and then move forward in living a more holy life.

Proverbs 28:18

The one whose walk is blameless is kept safe, but the one whose ways are perverse will fall into the pit.

Commentary; When you walk according to the precepts of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, you will be kept from evil. Those who don't will be lost for eternity.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,
And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand.

Commentary; If they pay attention, our Father God will guide the genuine believer through this physical world.

Psalm 37:34

Wait on the Lord, And keep His way, And He shall exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

Commentary; When Jesus The Christ, Jesus of Nazareth comes again, those who have waited on Him, and have followed His precepts, will spend eternity with Him. Those who don't, will spend eternity in Hell separated from the love of the Father.

Psalm 37:37-40

Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright;
For the future of that man is peace. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together; The future of the wicked shall be cut off. But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their strength in the time of trouble. And the Lord shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked,
And save them, Because they trust in Him.

Commentary; A genuine believer of our Lord Jesus The Christ, Jesus of Nazareth, will be protected from the wickedness of this physical world whereas the wicked will be cast away.

Psalm 56:9

When I cry out to You, Then my enemies will turn back; This I know, because God is for me.

Commentary; Our Father God protects the genuine believer.

Psalm 71:7-8

I have become as a wonder to many, But You are my strong refuge. Let my mouth be filled with Your praise And with Your glory all the day.

Commentary; Genuine believers need to guard against becoming prideful as all accolades need to be directed towards our Father God, and not towards any individual.

Psalm 71:20-21

You, who have shown me great and severe troubles,
Shall revive me again, And bring me up again from the depths of the earth. You shall increase my greatness, And comfort me on every side.

Commentary; Our Father God will occasionally present those who genuinely believe in Him with challenges to encourage the growth He wants them to achieve.

Exodus 32:33

And the Lord said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.

Commentary; We have all sinned, and fallen short of our Father God's expectations, which is why we need His son, Jesus, The Christ, to be the propitiation for our sinful conduct because, without Jesus, we would be blotted out of The Book of Life!

Psalm 115:16

The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men.

Commentary; Our Father God created everything, even the earth for His children.

Psalms 145:15

The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season.

Commentary; Typically humans reach out to Father God during times of crisis. Our Father God will always take care of those who genuinely believe in Him.

Psalm 145:18

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.

Commentary; Our Father God stays close to all who genuinely believe in Him.

Psalm 145:20

The Lord preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy.

Commentary; Our Father God protects those who genuinely believe in Him and follow His precepts. Those who don't believe in Him or follow His precepts do not have a bright future ahead of them.

Psalm 145:17

The Lord is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works.

Commentary; Our Father God demands that only the righteous and holy approach Him. Because our Lord Jesus, The Christ, gave His life for us, The Father sees the holy and righteous Jesus when He looks at those who believe in and follow Jesus' precepts.

Psalm 145:19

He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. (Psalms 145:19).

Commentary; Once a person acknowledges that Jesus is God's only begotten Son, and following Jesus, and His precepts, is the only way to spend eternity with our Father God, they will begin receiving the benefits only Father God can provide.

Proverbs 16:7

When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Commentary; When a person genuinely believes in and walks in accordance with our Lord's precepts, our Lord can calm the stormy seas that he/she may be experiencing.

Leviticus 10:3

And Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke, saying:

‘By those who come near Me
I must be regarded as holy;
And before all the people
I must be glorified.’ ”

Commentary; Our Father God is a jealous God. He demands to be treated in a holy manner and that, above all, He be glorified.

Proverbs 16:9

A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.

Commentary; If a genuine believer will wait on our Father God, He will guide the believer to where he/she needs to go.

Proverbs 16:33

The lot is cast into the lap, But its every decision is from the Lord.

Commentary; What the unbeliever attributes to "chance", a genuine believer understands that all things are directed by our Father God.

Proverbs 19:23

The fear of the Lord leads to life, And he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil.

Commentary; When a person genuinely believes in our Lord Jesus, he/she should sense a hedge of protection surrounding them.

Proverbs 20:10

Differing weights and differing measures—the Lord detests them both.

Commentary; Our Father God will deal harshly with those who are dishonest.

Proverbs 20:22

Do not say, “I’ll pay you back for this wrong!” Wait for the Lord, and he will avenge you.

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus will be the judge and jury over all matters.

Deuteronomy 8:18

“And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Commentary; Our Father God will send the Holy Spirit to whomever genuinely asks Him to do so, and will bless those who genuinely believe in Him, and follow His precepts.

Leviticus 18:30

‘Therefore you shall keep My ordinance, so that you do not commit any of these abominable customs which were committed before you, and that you do not defile yourselves by them: I am the Lord your God.’ ”

Commentary; Our Father God demands that all genuine believers follow His precepts, which will ensure a healthier life than might otherwise be expected.

Leviticus 19:3

‘Every one of you shall revere his mother and his father, and keep My Sabbaths: I am the Lord your God.

Commentary; Our Father God orders us to honor our mother and father and to honor the Sabbath!

Leviticus 19:11-12

‘You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another. And you shall not swear by My name falsely, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am the Lord.

Commentary; Our Father God is very clear as to how He wants His children to conduct themselves.

Leviticus 19:18

You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.

Commentary; Our Father God even though it is sometimes difficult to love our neighbors, our Father God demands that we do so.

Leviticus 19:31

‘Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.

Commentary; Genuine believers are not to visit with fortune tellers or others who "dabble" in the occult.

Leviticus 20:26

And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.

Commentary; Our Father God is holy, and He expects those who genuinely believe in Him to be holy as well.

Leviticus 26:1

‘You shall not make idols for yourselves; neither a carved image nor a sacred pillar shall you rear up for yourselves; nor shall you set up an engraved stone in your land, to bow down to it; for I am the Lord your God.

Commentary; Those who worship objects, including money, rather than worshiping our Father God, will be dealt with very harshly.

Commentary; Our Father God blesses those who are trustworthy, and who genuinely believe in, and follow the precepts of His Son, Jesus, The Christ.

2 Thessalonians 2:7-12

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Commentary; Once Jesus, The Christ, returns, those who genuinely believe in Him, and follow His precepts, will be safely removed from the ultimate unlawfulness. Those who don't, won't.

Proverbs 12:12

The wicked covet the catch of evil men, But the root of the righteous yields fruit.

Commentary; Those who genuinely believe in Jesus, The Christ, and follow His precepts, are the righteous, who will flourish.

1 Timothy 1:15

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

Commentary; Our Father God, sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, The Christ, into this physical world to freely offer salvation to everyone.

Psalm 4:8

I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Commentary; Those who genuinely believe in, and follow the precepts of our Lord Jesus, The Christ, are the only ones who truly can say that they dwell in safety.

1 Timothy 4:1-2

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron

Commentary; There will be some, who genuinely believe in, and follow the precepts of our Lord Jesus, The Christ, who, in the latter days, will be deceived to such an extent, that they fall away from their Christian beliefs.

Psalm 7:8

The Lord shall judge the peoples; Judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, And according to my integrity within me.

Commentary; During the end times our Lord will judge every person.

1 Timothy 6:18-19

Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Commentary; Good works are the evidence of person believing in Jesus, The Christ, and following His precepts. Good works alone, without Jesus, will never result in a person achieving eternal salvation.

Psalm 7:9

Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, But establish the just; For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds.

Commentary; Our Father God knows who is a genuine believer in Jesus, The Christ, one who follows His precepts, and who is not.

2 Timothy 1:10

but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,

Commentary; Those who genuinely believe in Jesus, The Christ, and who follows His precepts, can be assured of life everafter.

Psalm 30:11-12

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

Commentary; The resurrection of our Lord, Jesus, The Christ, on the 3rd day following His crucifixion, proclaims the glory of our Father God, something all genuine believers should repeatedly rejoice over.

2 Timothy 4:8

Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

Commentary; All genuine believers in our Lord, Jesus, The Christ, will be rewarded once Jesus returns.

Psalm 9:3-4

When my enemies turn back, They shall fall and perish at Your presence. For You have maintained my right and my cause; You sat on the throne judging in righteousness.

Commentary; Our Lord Jesus, The Christ, protects all who genuinely believe in Him, and follow His precepts.

2 Timothy 3:14-15

Commentary; Those who study God's inspired Scriptures, but who refuse to acknowledge that Jesus is The Christ, is the Messiah, will suffer greatly during the final days for their refusal.

Psalm 9:5

You have rebuked the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name forever and ever.

Commentary; The wicked, and those who refuse to acknowledge that Jesus is The Christ, is the Messiah, will suffer greatly during the final days.

Titus 1:1-2

Paul, a bondservant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect and the acknowledgment of the truth which accords with godliness, in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began,

Commentary; Our Father God promised eternal life to those who genuinely acknowledge that Jesus is The Christ, is the Messiah, and follow His precepts.

Psalm 9:7-8

But the Lord shall endure forever; He has prepared His throne for judgment. He shall judge the world in righteousness, And He shall administer judgment for the peoples in uprightness.

Commentary; When Jesus, The Christ, returns, He will judge this physical world based upon His righteousness, and His righteousness alone.

Titus 2:12-14

teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

Commentary; By the grace of God, salvation was made available to all through God's only begotten Son, Jesus, The Christ.

Psalm 9:12

When He avenges blood, He remembers them; He does not forget the cry of the humble.

Commentary; “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” (James 4:6)

Hebrews 6:19-20

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

Commentary; Jesus, The Christ, is the High Priest for every person who genuinely believes in Him, and follows His precepts.

Psalm 10:17-18

Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear, To do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, That the man of the earth may oppress no more.

Commentary; Our Lord will defend those who genuinely believe in Him, follow His precepts, and are unable to defend themselves.

Hebrews 12:14-16

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.

Commentary; Our Father God will not admit even one unrepenting and unpardoned sinner to heaven.

Psalm 11:4

The Lord is in His holy temple, The Lord’s throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.

Commentary; Our Father God sees all, and knows all.

Hebrews 12:28-29

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.

Commentary; Those who don't treat our Father God with respect and reverence will ultimately experience God's wrath.

pSALM 11:5

The Lord tests the righteous, But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.

Commentary; A genuine believer in our Lord Jesus, The Christ, should not feel downtrodden when they are subjected to the testing of his/her faith, for our Father God tests those that He loves.

Hebrews 13:1

Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

Commentary; 1 Corinthians 13:13 teaches us: "And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."

Psalm 11:6

Upon the wicked He will rain coals; Fire and brimstone and a burning wind Shall be the portion of their cup.

Commentary; In the final days Non-believers will suffer greatly.

Hebrews 13:6

So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

Commentary; Nothing in or originating from this physical world can eternally harm those who genuinely believe in Jesus, The Christ, and follow His precepts.

Psalm 12:6

The words of the Lord are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times.

Commentary; The words of The Lord are holy in His precepts, just in His laws, gracious in His promises, significant in His institutions, true in His narrations, and infallible in His predictions.

Hebrews 13:7

Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.

Commentary; Pay attention to how religious leaders conduct themselves. If they are truly anointed by the Lord, their conduct will clearly reflect this anointing. If they don't, then they are not.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace”

Commentary; Lord will bestow His peace, grace and blessings upon all of those who genuinely believe in Him.

Numbers 11:23

“The Lord answered Moses, ‘Is the Lord’s arm too short? You will now see whether or not what I say will come true for you’”

Commentary; The Lord is faithful to fulfill everything He says He will be doing. He always keeps His promises.

Numbers 23:19

“God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”

Commentary; The Lord is completely holy. Man is not, which is why man needs Jesus, The Christ, to be the propitiation (a substitute), for their sins.

Jeremiah 3:15

Commentary; The Lord promised to provide us with holy men and women to minister to us.

Jeremiah 10:23

“I know, O Lord, that a man’s life is not his own; it is not for men to direct his steps”

Commentary; The Lord directs your steps.

Jeremiah 12:15

“After I uproot them, I will again have compassion and will bring each of them back to his own inheritance and his own country”

Commentary; The Lord continues to be compassionate, even after disciplining those who have strayed from the path He wants them to be on.

Jeremiah 30:16

‘Therefore all those who devour you shall be devoured; And all your adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; Those who plunder you shall become plunder, And all who prey upon you I will make a prey.

Commentary; The Lord protects those who genuinely believe in Him, and follow His precepts.

Jeremiah 30:17

For I will restore health to you And heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord, ‘Because they called you an outcast saying: “This is Zion; No one seeks her.” ’

Commentary; The Lord has His reasons for healing those whom He chooses to heal.

Jeremiah 30:22

‘You shall be My people, And I will be your God.’ ”

Commentary; The Lord keeps every promise He makes.

Lamentations 3:39

Why should a living man complain, A man for the punishment of his sins?

Commentary; Those who persist in sinning will face eternal punishment.

Lamentations 3:38

Is it not from the mouth of the Most High That woe and well-being proceed?

Commentary; Our Lord created all things and is all knowing.

Ezekiel 18:24

“But when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All the righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; because of the unfaithfulness of which he is guilty and the sin which he has committed, because of them he shall die.

Commentary; Jesus, The Christ, came and, while we were still sinners, died so that we might live. Those who refuse the free offer of salvation offered by Jesus will be eternally separated from God, The Father, Jesus, The Son and the Holy Spirit.

Ezekiel 39:29

“I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel, declares the Sovereign Lord”.

Commentary; Any nation is exiled when it looks away from following our Lord. Those nations who repent, and returns to genuinely worshiping the one true God, then our Lord will reunite with them.

Joel 2:18

Then the Lord will be zealous for His land, And pity His people.

Commentary; Our Lord is zealous for those who genuinely believe in Him.

Joel 2:19

The Lord will answer and say to His people, “Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil, And you will be satisfied by them; I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations.

Commentary; Our Lord will be kind and generous to those who genuinely worship Him.

Amos 4:13

“He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to man, he who turns dawn to darkness, and treads the high places of the earth—the Lord God Almighty is his name”.

Commentary; Our Lord God created all things.

Obadiah 1:17-18

“But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. The house of Jacob shall be a fire, And the house of Joseph a flame; But the house of Esau shall be stubble; They shall kindle them and devour them, And no survivor shall remain of the house of Esau,” For the Lord has spoken.

Commentary; Our Lord God insists that those who call themselves "His people" be holy.

Job 2:7-9

“When my life was ebbing away, I remembered you, Lord, and my prayer rose to you, to your holy temple. Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs. But I, with a song of thanksgiving, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. Salvation comes from the Lord”.

Commentary; Salvation can only come from a genuine belief in our Lord Jesus, The Christ.

Jonah 4:2

“I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity”.

Commentary; Our Father God is loving, compassionate and completely holy. He does not want bad things to happen to those who genuinely believe in Him and in His son Jesus, The Christ.

Micah 2:7

...“Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted? Are these His doings? Do not My words do good To him who walks uprightly?

Commentary; Our Father God is good to those who genuinely believe in Him and in His son Jesus, The Christ.

Micah 4:1-2

Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the Lord’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And peoples shall flow to it. Many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth,
And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Commentary; Once Jesus returns, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus, The Christ, is Lord over all.

Micah 4:4-5

But everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree, And no one shall make them afraid; For the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken. For all people walk each in the name of his god, But we will walk in the name of the Lord our God Forever and ever.

Commentary; There is only one true God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God who created everything.

Micah 4:11-12

But now many nations are gathered against you. They say, “Let her be defiled, let our eyes gloat over Zion!” But they do not know the thoughts of the Lord;
they do not understand his plan, that he has gathered them like sheaves to the threshing floor.

Commentary; During the last days our Lord will defend Israel.

Micah 7:7

Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.

Commentary; Our Lord hears everyone, in particular those who genuinely believe in Him.

Micah 7:18

He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy.

Commentary; Our Lord is 100% holy and 100% righteous, He wants everyone to be 100% holy and 100% righteous as well, but to those who are unable to be, He is also merciful, particularly to those who genuinely believe in Him.

Micah 7:19

He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea.

Commentary; Jesus, The Christ, took on all of our sins when He went to the cross.

Nahum 1:5

The mountains quake before him and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at his presence, the world and all who live in it.

Commentary; The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob created all things, therefore, all things are subject to Him!

I love the Lord, because He has heard My voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.

Commentary; The Lord is faithful to those who genuinely believe in Him, and who faithfully follow His precepts.

Hebrews 7:11-13

Therefore, if perfection were through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need was there that another priest should rise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be called according to the order of Aaron? For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law. For He of whom these things are spoken belongs to another tribe, from which no man has officiated at the altar.

Commentary; Jesus is the one true perfect priest.

Psalm 116:3-4

The pains of death surrounded me, And the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow. Then I called upon the name of the Lord: “O Lord, I implore You, deliver my soul!”

Commentary; Don't wait until the very last moment of your life to reach out to the Lord for He stands by those who genuinely believe in Him.

Hebrews 7:14-17

For it is evident that our Lord arose from Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood. And it is yet far more evident if, in the likeness of Melchizedek, there arises another priest who has come, not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless life. For He testifies: “You are a priest forever
According to the order of Melchizedek.”

Commentary; Found in Matthew 5:17 Jesus reminded everyone that He did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it.

Psalm 116:5

Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; Yes, our God is merciful.

Commentary; God does not wish that anyone perishes.

Hebrews 7:18-19

For on the one hand there is an annulling of the former commandment because of its weakness and unprofitableness, for the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.

Commentary; Jesus, The Christ, became the perfect sacrifice for all of our sins. No additional sacrifice will ever be needed again.

Psalm 116:6

The Lord preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me.

Commentary; The Lord blesses the humble and brings down the proud.

Hebrews 7:20-22

And inasmuch as He was not made priest without an oath (for they have become priests without an oath, but He with an oath by Him who said to Him: “The Lord has sworn And will not relent, ‘You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek’ ”), by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant.

Commentary; Jesus is The Christ and the high priest over the entire world.

Psalm 116:10

I believed, therefore I spoke, “I am greatly afflicted.”

Commentary; Those who genuinely believe on Jesus, The Christ, can reach out to Jesus regarding any matter.

Hebrews 7:26-27

For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people’s, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.

Commentary; Jesus allowed Himself to be crucified, to be sacrificed, to atone for the sins of the entire world.

Psalm 116:13

I will take up the cup of salvation, And call upon the name of the Lord.

Commentary; The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob, the creator of ALL things, provided His only begotten Son, Jesus, to be the propitiation for the entire world's sin so that every person, who genuinely believes in, and follows Jesus' precepts, will receive the free cup of eternal salvation.

Hebrews 7:28

For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints the Son who has been perfected forever.

Commentary; God sent His only begotten and perfect Son Jesus as the One and only path for eternal salvation in our fallen world.

Psalm 116:15

Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His saints.

Commentary; The Holy Spirit is in those who genuinely believe in the Lord, and who follow His precepts. The Lord will pick them up if they fall.

Hebrews 8:1-2

Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man.

Commentary; The things of God will endure forever. Not so the things of man.

Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples! For His merciful kindness is great toward us, And the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!

Commentary; Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and Master over all things.

Hebrews 8:3

For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Therefore it is necessary that this One also have something to offer.

Commentary; For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son!

Psalm 118:5

I called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.

Commentary; The Lord comforts and protects those who genuinely believe in Him, and who follow His precepts.

Hebrews 8:4-5

For if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the law; who serve the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. Commentary; The Lord Jesus Himself announced that He came to fulfill the law, not to abolish it.

It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in princes.

Commentary; We are instructed to only put our trust in the Lord, and things of the Lord and not to trust in things of man.

Hebrews 8:6

But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.

Commentary; Eternal salvation awaits those who have a genuine belief in the sovereignty of Jesus, The Christ.

Psalm 118:14

The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.

Commentary; Everyone who genuinely believes in the Lord, and who follows His precepts, will receive eternal salvation.

Hebrews 8:7

For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.

Commentary; Jesus, The Christ, was and is the only faultless sacrifice ever made as a propitiation for our sins.

Psalm 118:15-16

The voice of rejoicing and salvation Is in the tents of the righteous; The right hand of the Lord does valiantly. The right hand of the Lord is exalted; The right hand of the Lord does valiantly.

Commentary; The Lord protects those who genuinely believe in Him, and who follow His precepts. This usually results in the Lord's people rejoicing, vigorously.

Hebrews 8:8-9

Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord.

Commentary; Our Father God sent His only begotten Son Jesus to be the propitiation for the world's sins.

Psalm 118:17

I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the Lord.

Commentary; Genuinely praise the Lord irrespective of your situation and He will bless you.

Hebrews 8:10-12

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”

Commentary; The Lord is so generous and forgiving that, while we were still sinners, He sent His only begotten Son to be sacrificed to provide atonement for our sins.

Psalm 118:20

This is the gate of the Lord, Through which the righteous shall enter.

Commentary; More than 500 years before Jesus was born His coming was foretold. A genuine belief in Jesus is the only path for anyone to achieve eternal salvation.

Hebrews 8:13

In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Commentary; The God of Abraham, of Isaac and of Jacob sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, The Christ, to be the only propitiation for the entire world's sins, thus allowing the entire world to achieve eternal salvation, something not available to them previously.

Psalm 118:21

I will praise You, For You have answered me, And have become my salvation.

Commentary; The Lord will always answer those who genuinely believe in Him, and who follow His precepts.

Commentary; God inspired Isaiah to prophesy Jesus' crucifixion 700 years before it actually took place.

Matthew 21:42

Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes’?

Commentary; Jesus was rejected, but was, and is, the Chief Cornerstone of our relationship with Father God.

Isaiah 53:6-7

All of us, like sheep, have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the wrongdoing of us all To fall on Him. He was oppressed and afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.

Commentary; Jesus became the propitiation for all of mankind's sins as Isaiah prophesied 700 years before Jesus was tried in a kangaroo court and then crucified.

Matthew 21:43

“Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.

Commentary; The kingdom of God will only be made available to those who genuinely believe in Jesus, the Christ.

Isaiah 53:8-9

By oppression and judgment He was taken away; And as for His generation, who considered That He was cut off from the land of the living For the wrongdoing of my people, to whom the blow was due? And His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.

Commentary; The death and burial of Jesus in Joseph of Arimathea's never used tomb, was foretold by God, through Isaiah, 700 years before it actually occurred.

Matthew 21:44

And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.”

Commentary; Jesus promises that He is "the rock", He is the cornerstone, He is The Christ!

Isaiah 53:10-12

But the Lord desired To crush Him, causing Him grief; If He renders Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand. As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, For He will bear their wrongdoings. Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the plunder with the strong, Because He poured out His life unto death, And was counted with wrongdoers; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the wrongdoers.

Commentary; God, through Isaiah 700 years before Jesus was even born, foretold that Jesus would become the propitiation for all of mankind's sins and would be crucified between two thieves.

Matthew 21:45-46

Now when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they perceived that He was speaking of them. But when they sought to lay hands on Him, they feared the multitudes, because they took Him for a prophet.

Commentary; In Matthew 16:6 Jesus warns His disciples to "beware of the leaven of the Pharisees", as the religious leaders at the time attempted to rule over every Jewish life and over every Jewish custom.

Isaiah 54:5

For your Maker is your husband, The Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth.

Commentary; The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Holy One of Israel, is the only God of the entire universe.

Matthew 22:14

“For many are called, but few are chosen.”

Commentary; Those who the Lord calls must either respond to His call and be blessed, or refuse His call and be turned away.

Isaiah 54:7

“For a mere moment I have forsaken you, But with great mercies I will gather you.

Commentary; The Lord doesn't wish anyone to perish.

Matthew 22:15

Then the Pharisees went and plotted how they might entangle Him in His talk.

Commentary; There will always be those non-believers who will try and discredit the truth, the truth which is Jesus.

Isaiah 54:10

For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

Commentary; The Lord will never forsake nor abandon those who genuinely love Him, who genuinely believe in Him, and who genuinely follow His precepts.

Matthew 22:18-21

But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, “Why do you test Me, you hypocrites? Show Me the tax money.” So they brought Him a denarius. And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” They said to Him, “Caesar’s.” And He said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” When they had heard these words, they marveled, and left Him and went their way.

Commentary; The Lord has every answer, and knows the evil that can exist in a non-believer's heart.

Isaiah 54:13

All your children shall be taught by the Lord,
And great shall be the peace of your children.

Commentary; Every child taught in the ways of the Lord, and who is a genuine believer in The Lord and His precepts, will live their lives in peace.

Matthew 22:29-32

Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven. But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”

Commentary; The Lord knows everything. He is the Lord of the living.

Isaiah 54:14

In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near you.

Commentary; Through the righteous of Jesus, The Christ, municipalities will be created, and their citizens will not fear because the Lord is their protector.

Matthew 22:41-46

While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, saying, “What do you think about the Christ? Whose Son is He?” They said to Him, “The Son of David.” He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call Him ‘Lord,’ saying: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool” ’? If David then calls Him ‘Lord,’ how is He his Son?” And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor from that day on did anyone dare question Him anymore.

Commentary; Jesus, as the only begotten Son of almighty God, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, knew and knows everything.

Isaiah 54:15

Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake.

Commentary; The Lord will defend those who genuinely believe in Him, and who genuinely follow His precepts.

Commentary; The Lord promises that actions always speak louder than words.

Isaiah 54:17

No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.

Commentary; The Lord protects those who genuinely love and serve Him.

Matthew 23:5-8

But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments. They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, ‘Rabbi, Rabbi.’ But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.

Commentary; The Lord promises that pride will come before the fall of those more interested in "looking good and important" than genuinely serving the Lord.

Isaiah 55:2

Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance.

Commentary; The Lord's promises of salvation do not cost any money. The only cost is that the person genuinely believe in the sovereignty of Jesus, The Christ, and that they genuinely follow His precepts.

Matthew 23:9

Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.

Commentary; There is only one Father God. He is the God of Abraham, of Isaac and of Jacob.

Isaiah 55:3

Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you - The sure mercies of David.

Commentary; The Lord loves those who come to Him.

Matthew 23:10

And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.

Commentary; The Lord Jesus, The Christ, is the One true Teacher.

Isaiah 55:5

Surely you shall call a nation you do not know, And nations who do not know you shall run to you, Because of the Lord your God, And the Holy One of Israel; For He has glorified you.”

Commentary; The Lord glorifies those who genuinely believe in Him, and who genuinely follow His precepts.

Matthew 23:11

But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant.

Commentary; The Lord loves those who genuinely believe in Him, who genuinely follow His precepts, and who genuinely serve others.

Isaiah 55:6

Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.

Commentary; The time is short to genuinely acknowledge that Jesus, The Christ, is Lord over all. Once Jesus returns, then it will be too late to acknowledge Him.

Matthew 23:12

And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

Commentary; Proverbs 27:2 teaches and instructs us; "Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips."
